Last October

Christmas carols. You either love ’em or hate ’em. But like it or not, this time of year it’s awfully hard to avoid the sounds of Jingle Bells and company. Will we have Christmas carols at the Moretown Artisans’ Sale? Yes. But! I’ve suffered through hours and hours of holy and jolly so you don’t have to and the MAS will have a relatively pain-free, if not down right good holiday music playlist.

But more importantly, for your listening pleasure we will have LIVE MUSIC on Saturday from 11-1 from Last October!! This insanely talented duo of Erica Stroem and James Kinne, from over the river and through the woods, are valley locals with a sound that rocks this world. Check out their Facebook page and hear for yourself how incredible these guys are and then stop by on Saturday so you can hear them and pick up a CD or two. As their bio succinctly puts it, “…Last October will capture your attention and leave you wanting more.”

Sunday we’ll be back to the playlist, but we will have a special visit from SANTA from 12-2! We’ll post more about that soon….

WPF!?!

An alena botanica original, soiled by Irene

One of the harder parts of the flood clean up was seeing artwork muddied, in tatters and unsalvageable on the garbage pile. The prospect for artists faced with having to recreate their entire collections and inventory from scratch was and still is daunting. So when it came time to start planning the Moretown Artisans’ Sale, it seemed only fitting that we incorporate a fundraiser to aid the artists this sale was started by in the first place!

Our commemorative t-shirt will only be available at the Moretown Artisans' Sale, while supplies last!

This year, we are pleased to announce the Wet Paint Fund! Conveniently located in booth #1 at the Moretown Artisans’ Sale, you’ll find our super cool commemorative flood tshirts in men’s, women’s and even kid’s sizes, making them perfect gifts for everyone you know. You’ll also be able to bid on items in our silent auction, featuring a wide array of artwork donated by our vendors (check out our silent auction list here!) and make donations directly to the WPF. All proceeds will be distributed as grants for deserving local artists with the aim to help them get their businesses back on track.

The deadline to apply for a Wet Paint Fund grant is December 16. Click here for our short and easy application and get yours in today! Please share this news with anyone you think should apply and we’ll see you December 10 & 11 at the Moretown Elementary School!
