Artisan Preview

Here’s a slew of photos of the work by the vendors you will find at the Moretown Artisans’ Sale this weekend at the Moretown Elementary School. Artists love to keep their work as fresh as possible and it’s usually quite hard to find two pieces that are exactly the same. But artists also tend to have a very unique style – almost a fingerprint – that is evident throughout their work. So while what you see in these photos may not be currently available in their booths, you’ll still know what to look for when you get there! See you soon!

Get out your holiday shopping list and get ready to take some notes while you feast your eyes:

Santa’s Coming!

I’ll get straight to the point right on this one for you:

SANTA WILL BE AT THE MORETOWN ARTISANS’ SALE,

SUNDAY DECEMBER 11 FROM 12-2PM!!!

Me and my sis with Santa, back in the day.

Bring the kids and your camera and visit with Santa for FREE at the Moretown Elementary School, Sunday from 12-2. If you’d like, donations are welcome and will go to the Wet Paint Fund, aiding artists affected by the floods.

Let the kids visit with Santa and snap the kind of photos that will be cherished forever by the whole family, like this one of me and my sis from way back in the day. It still cracks me up every time I see it – a true work of art!

And now, in honor of memorable and cherished images of ol’ Saint Nick, I present the Santa Gallery featuring some great iconic images, new, old and off the beaten track of the one and only:

If A Candle Just Won’t Cut It…

Lisa Harvey Original

Sometimes you want to give a gift that is just a little more special and will be cherished for years to come. You want something to commemorate a big moment, or a special friendship and a candle just isn’t gonna cut it.

Each of our vendors have incredible hand-crafted works of art that make great gifts for everyone. But if you want a real show-stopping gift for someone on your list, but be sure to check these artists out:

  • Art by Alix

Art by Alix – Fine art that is distinctively Vermont-esque. Find a range of artwork featuring local, historical structures from barns to covered bridges. Available in a variety of sizes, even calendars, you can find gifts to hang in the dining room, or calendars for the kids heading back to college.

  • Llama Love– Nothing is more comforting than a nice cozy sweater. Or scarf, or hat, or wrist-warmers, for that matter. And Llama Love has some of the finest knit-wear around, in lovely and unique colors, these gifts will warm up anyone on your list.

  • Mad Women in the Attic

Mad Women in the Attic – Let’s face it, without snow on the ground, this time of year can seem awfully dismal. But as I type this, it’s grey and drab, but hanging in the window next to my desk is a whimsical stained glass piece from Mad Women in the Attic. It brightens my day even at night! With a huge variety of creative stained glass and metal-worked pieces, you’ll find great gifts, from ornaments to lamps  to wall and window hangings that will be treasured by anyone you give them to (including yourself…!)

  • Earrings By Raegan Hough Jewelry

Raegan Hough Jewelry – Simply put, wear any piece of jewelry from Raegan and you are pretty much guaranteed to get compliments all day long. Her work is simple, let striking. It’s girly, but edgy. It’s playful, but still sophisticated. So if you are looking for a special gift for the lady in your life – no matter who she is – I’d highly suggest stopping by this booth at the MAS.

  • Tea & Toast Designs for Heart & Home – Artist Lisa Harvey is probably responsible for inspiring a lot of the artwork hung on local refrigerators in the valley. As an Art Teacher, Lisa is amazing at bringing out the artist in even the dirtiest-truck-lovin’-bug-squishing little kiddos out there. As an Artist, Lisa has an incredible ability to paint movement and energy and light into her images. Her oil paintings of local landscapes and more will make the kind of gifts that will be cherished forever.
